MINNeSHOP | Minneapolis Photographer

So I attended a workshop on March 1 put on by the amazing Eliesa Johnson of Photogen Inc. She is an uber talented Minneapolis/International Wedding and Commercial Photographer. She ROCKS!:-)It was SO much fun. She challenged us to think outside of the box, by bringing back in the very basics of art school concepts. I thought this was SO AWESOME since as a photographer I like to consider myself more of an artist then someone who just goes out and shoots photographs. I like to think about the basic design of an image and how you set it up. How you will process it and seeing all of that in the original moment that you are capturing the image! All this, so that it becomes more than a photograph, it becomes a story, it becomes art.

Any who Eliesa had flowers from the amazing Skinner Jones and models ready for us to capture images with the information she had just given us and reviewed with us. We drew names out of an awesome Kelly Moore bag. I drew the name of Spencer Combs and his lovely wife Alex Combs. Spencer is also an uber talented Minneapolis Photographer. These two are so darn photogenic on top of the fact that their chemistry is SMOKIN! They made it all the more easy for me to get the fabulous images I did…if I do say so myself!:-)

We shot at the gorgeous Calhoun Beach Club which when picking an ideal session location pretty much has it all.  Beautiful architecture. Gorgeous HUGE windows, with brilliant soft light spilling in. And a large airy terrace to get those lovely outside shots!

Thanks again Eliesa for providing a workshop where my brain was able to be stimulated to branch even further into what an image can really be…a piece of artwork!

Through a mirror's view.

This one just makes me smile because they are so cute!

Spencer and Alex Combs! Thanks you guys for being such fun awesome models!

Adyn Paul | Minneapolis Newborn Photographer

Let’s just say I LOVE my job.  But it gets even better for me when I get to photograph one of my good friends children or families.  This was the case with little Mr. Adyn.  His momma and I have been good friends since college.  It is such a joy for me to be able to share in these moments with my clients and even more so when one of them is a very dear friend!  Ok this little man is so darling it’s ridiculous!  And he was such a great little guy letting his mommy and I play around with him to get some seriously cute photographs!  And his big sister is SO adorable herself and such an amazing big sister already.  Maddy is as easy going as kiddos get and it seems has adjusted to having Adyn around as if he was always apart of their family!  I am so incredibly happy for your family Em.  You and Paul make some adorable kiddos and I can’t wait to photograph this little man as he grows!  Lots and lots of love to you guys!!!  xoxo

Hable family minus Paul! We will get you next time Paul!!:-)

Little Man and Logan | Minneapolis St. Paul Children’s Photographer

Just a couple of quick snaps of my little man and his little doggie.  They are best buds and I love it!  Little man’s Daddy and I are just thrilled with how much Little Man wants to help out with Logan.  And how gentle and loving he is towards Logan.  They make quite a pair and I can see many summers spent outside with Logan following his boy around!  :-)

Our cute little dude.:-)I was getting ready for a headshot session and he came and sat down so we had a little mini session with him and then with Logan too!

Oooooh man!

Mr. Cute!

Best Buds

Couldn't decide between b&w or color, so you get to see them both!

Love them!:-)
